How can you boost your email open rates? If you’re struggling to get people to open your emails, there are key strategies you can use to start seeing better results. Today, I’m sharing some of the best tips that can help improve your email open rates.

1. Write a good subject line. Think about it: your subject line is the first thing a recipient sees. It’s like your email’s first impression, and it has to be good enough to grab their attention. A subject line that’s boring or too salesy can turn people away faster than you can say “unsubscribe.”

One thing to remember is that certain words, like “free” or “get yours”, can land you straight in the spam folder. We all know how frustrating it is when an email gets stuck in there, so avoid the words that set off alarms. Instead, get creative. For example, using something more localized, like “Top listings in Myrtle Beach,” could spark more interest and make your email feel more relevant. Even better, personalize your subject line by including the recipient’s name or a specific address to make it feel more tailored to them.

2. Match your subject line with your content. You’ve probably received emails where the subject line promised one thing, but the content didn’t deliver. It’s disappointing, right? That’s why consistency between the subject line and the body of the email is crucial. When the subject line teases a specific offer or topic, make sure the email lives up to that promise.

“When making an email campaign, it’s all about the subject line, consistency, and sending targeted and relevant content.”

Let’s say your subject line talks about some great property listings. Your email should showcase those listings, not just be a generic sales pitch. Don’t forget to add relevant links, too. Linking back to your website, for example, helps your audience easily find what you’re talking about and keeps them engaged with your content.

3. Focus on quality over quantity. You might think sending out a mass email to everyone on your list will get you more opens, but that’s not always the case. In fact, sending fewer, more targeted emails can lead to better engagement.

This is where segmentation comes into play. If you break your email list into smaller segments, you can send more personalized and relevant content to each group. This targeted approach has a higher chance of resonating with your audience. A great example of this is using smaller batches to test what works best. You’ll find that even if you’re sending fewer emails, the results can be far more rewarding.

By following these tips, you can improve your email engagement, boost your deliverability, and ultimately get more people to read your emails. Next time you’re planning an email campaign, remember: it’s all about the subject line, consistency, and sending targeted and relevant content. If you have more questions about your emails, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help.
